27:09 beautiful run on bass 🤌
Better Version “Pack My Bag”
Beautiful trumpeting from Wynton, as always. Excellent orchestration, narration, and tickling of ivories from Chick (RIP).
Siempre Chic Korea haciendo lo mejor.
Matrix starts at 29:05 for people wondering
My God, after Miroslav and Roy, this is the best rhythm section I've ever heard Chick play with. I find when he plays with some of the fusion-ish guys, I don't hear Chick breath. Still great, but he is really unsurpassed when he plays with such a sympathetic rhythm section as this. He swings more, his ideas are fresher/wilder, the dynamic range is way broader, the piano touch is sweeter and he has time to think without having every gap filled. Amazing.
Man......What can I say? Thank you. Thank you for posting this.
Definitely one of the best big band concerts ever, especially rhythm section wise!
BASS!!!!!!!!
Love it!! Thanks!!!! Does the rest of this show exist anywhere?
Why does it begin with all This time seeing People sitting that's a lossoftime and pacience
you still have the whole thing? maybe now you can post it entirely!
OMG God bless this man and what he was and what will continue to be his existence
God that drummer is so fucking killer
Metwa Electwic with their tiny cars
20:06 Concert starts.
I have tried my best to get the record of these 2 titled “Friends”. No success. Hugh is a rare gem, SA 🇿🇦 never celebrated him enough.
How great was Chick Corea?? In the pantheon with all the great composers and instrumentalists. I used to feel Corea’s playing was a bit “dry” and “restrained”. Now, I think it is perfectly balanced between passion and precision. Beneath the surface, there is a cauldron of creativity burning HOT. The breadth, depth, and variety of his collaborations is absolutely astounding.
On the contrary, what has made Chick my favorite jazz instrumentalist is that every time he plays a song, it's different. His creativity is unending. You can't say that about most jazz musicians - I've found that with most others, I get used to them quickly, and they become easy to predict. Chick definitely has his trademarks, but it's taken me many many years of intense listening to be able to predict where Chick will go with his improvisations and compositions!
Ted Nash is a genius!! 😊But every time I praise any member of this orchestra, I feel (I know) like I'm leaving the other incredible musicians out!!
Why not cut the first 18 minutes of the video?
I am smiling. I am crying.
Saaaaang Chaka!!
Now playing in Heaven, The Cloud Nine Sextet featuring: Chick Corea on piano, Max Roache on drums, Charlie Mingus on double bass, Miles Davis on trumpet, John Coltrane on tenor sax and Charlie Parker on alto sax.

Ahh... Tuesday Morning Jazz. Thanks for sharing.
masters at work. I cant get enough of this. the excellence and attention to detail on every note and chord progression is out of this world.
Rest well, Maestro.
18:30 start
Real motivation from a Medical Doctor!!! Thank you
What band smiles more, they soooooooo love this!!!!!!!!
Man the way Ali Jackson and Carlos Henriquez listen and react to Chick is really beautiful. It is indeed a huge privilege for any band to have them as part of the rhythm section.
I think Beethoven would've loved this. 💚
Rest in peace, Chick Corea. Thank you for blessing us with your musical prowess.🎹🎶
Can I just say, I don't know who that guy is on the end of the sax section, but I really love his expressions during the other soloes.
Victor Goines
Really like the drummer's sense of 3/4 swing
What is the date of this concert ?
j'ai appris le décès de Chick avec tristesse . J'attendais qu'il vienne en France cet été pour le revoir dans un concert. Tellement désolée ! Il a bercé mes jeunes oreilles avec Return to forever en 1976!
This concert is magical on so many levels. I come back to it often, and especially now since Chick has departed. Thanks for posting. His solo on "Windows" is so intricate and melodic. A lifetime's worth of study.
RIP Chick Corea
Magnificent concert! The late Chick Corea will truly be missed. Enjoyed also the harpist accompaniment. Look forward to viewing online and in person more concerts of Wynton Marsalis and the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra. Thank you!
Rest in peace, chick. Thank you for the music!
RIP to one of the greats..
Rest In Peace, Chick

Hey, never saw Chick with a tie. Doesn't work for me, I got used to his Hawaian Shirt stuff.
Grandes musicos para otro gran musico! Chick Corea es un enorme musico pero mi “estandarte” será siempre Bill Evans!!
